My Story

Ever since I was a teenager, I have had a keen desire to help people improve their lives. When I was 16, my dad brought a personal achievement course from work to share with the family. The course objective was to teach the psychological foundation of self-image psychology in a practical, easy-to-understand way. It focused on how the brain works, and how to reprogram it to achieve any goal or desire one may have. Using the principles of positive thinking, affirmations and imagery that I learned there, I was able to raise my grades and ACT scores in high school and earn a scholarship to a private university. I loved the power that came from using those simple tools, and I wanted to share that with everyone I knew!

Going into young adulthood I thought I was invincible with this new knowledge, but then I had some traumatic experiences which knocked me off my life’s game plan. I made some bad decisions trying to avoid further pain in my life, and it negatively affected my relationships and my ability to progress. I didn’t realize that the reason why my earlier tools weren’t working was because my survival brain was holding on to those traumatic memories and keeping me stuck in guilt, shame and unworthiness, haunting me for years.

Fast forward 12 years – I had a husband, four children, a home and two cars. On the surface it looked like I was living the storybook life, but I was miserable. I suffered from post-partum depression for four years after the birth of my third child. I used food as a coping mechanism and I was 55 pounds overweight. I had an in-home daycare so there were up to ten children in my home almost around the clock. I was having panic attacks at night because I didn’t know how to handle the stress of my life.

I started seeing a chiropractor who got me on the right path of taking better care of my body and mind through spinal alignment, mindful eating and physical fitness. I dropped the extra weight, developed new healthy habits, and was able to recover from my depression. I also learned about complementary therapies which led me to the discovery that

Everything is Energy.

Ever since then I have looked at all aspects of life through that lens, and studied everything I could get my hands on to better understand this concept.

When my oldest daughter was a junior in high school, she suddenly and inexplicably stopped functioning. She would spend weeks at a time in bed, unable to attend school or enjoy teenage life. I took her to multiple doctors and specialists where she was eventually diagnosed with Epstein Barr Syndrome. That explained the fatigue but no solutions were offered. We were told she would live with this condition for the rest of her life. In desperation I started turning to alternative therapies. While at an acupuncture appointment, the specialist told me about a treatment called Rapid Eye Therapy that had been successful in reducing emotional trauma, which may be at the root of her exhaustion. At that point we had nothing to lose. Michelle went to 5 or 6 sessions, and her transformation was nothing short of miraculous. Taking advantage of the 504 program, her school worked with her to help her graduate on time. Shortly after graduation she enrolled in beauty school and was also working, putting in 12-15 hour days with no issues.

During that time I also learned about an emotional release method called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping).  I found this simple self-help tool to be equally powerful in releasing the hold that past emotions, trauma, fears, etc. had on me. Little did I know that it would be the main tool to help me heal from a heartbreaking divorce after 25 years of marriage. EFT enabled me to agree to an amicable split and co-parenting with my ex for the next ten years of raising our family. It got me through many dark days during that transition to single parenthood, becoming a full-time provider and fulfilling the roles of both parents.

Shortly after experiencing this amazing transformation, I decided I wanted others to have that too. I took the EFT Basic and Intermediate course from Gary Craig, the founder of the EFT method. I started seeing clients in 2010. Even though I have seen dozens of clients and logged over 100 hours of sessions, I never cease to be amazed at the powerful transformations that I have witnessed. I love seeing the physical change in my clients' faces as the emotional charge of their painful memories dissipates, they feel the burdens of their past lifted and their eyes light up with relief and hope for a bright future!

I’d love for you to experience that too. Click below to begin your journey today.
