Honoring a Life well Lived: How a Chiropractor Transformed my Journey

Happy Memorial Day, friends! It's a day of hiking, backyard barbecues, and in general enjoying the beautiful almost-summer weather. Whatever you're doing, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Today we also remember our loved ones who have passed. Who's on your heart today? I'm thinking of grandparents and friends with whom I've shared many happy memories. But most of all, I'm remembering fondly my old chiropractor and mentor, Steve Taylor.

Dr. Taylor entered my world in one of the darkest nights of my soul. I was 33. I had four young children of my own and a home daycare, so I took care of ten children every day. At that point I'd had post-partum depression for four years and had developed a compulsive eating disorder, eating my way to almost 200 pounds. Panic attacks were a nightly occurance, as I breathed a sigh of relief when the daycare children left for the day but realized at night that it would start all over again the next day. I was in the depths of despair and barely functioning. I remember one night lying on the bed and feeling so miserable, when I rolled over and saw a sock on the floor and knew that I didn't have the power to pick it up. I burst into tears. I had been praying for relief for years, but I still didn't know how to get out of this dark pit.

One day I got a phone call from Dr. Taylor's office, offering a free checkup and adjustment. I had no other options, so I said yes. After the adjustment, Dr. Taylor presented a treatment plan with the accompanying costs. I explained that my husband was unemployed and we had no insurance. There was no way I could continue treatment. Dr. Taylor said I could set up patient files at home in exchange for payment. What a blessing! I started treatment right away.

In addition to adjustments, Dr. Taylor taught health classes every week. I went faithfully to everything he offered. I learned more about natural healing; eastern medicine and practices such as yoga and Qi Gong; eating a meal with all five senses; the exercise pyramid, etc. Eventually his office moved to a bigger facility that had exercise equipment, and I worked out every time I went for an adjustment. I eventually lost 55 pounds, healed my depression without the use of prescription drugs, and found my joy again. In reality, my experience with Dr. Taylor gave me a whole new life and helped shape me into the person I am today, one who is passionate about natural healing and helping YOU reclaim your peace, joy, and enthusiasm for life!

In honor of Dr. Taylor and the impact he had on my life, for the month of June I'm offering a free microcurrent or Brain Tap treatment with every tapping session you attend. Hope to see you soon!
